Sold out! Samsung Tab S8 / Ultra tablet pre-orders suspended in the United States, official response: too much demand

On February 12, people can start ordering new Samsung flagship hardware after recently launching the Galaxy S22 series of mobile phones and the Galaxy Tab S8 series of tablet products. XDA-Developers notes that Samsung's US website shows that both the regular Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra are listed as "sold out," with only the Samsung Tab S8+ still available for pre-order.

Samsung provided a statement about these preorders:

“We are very excited about the consumer response to the new Galaxy Tab S8 series. We are suspending pre-orders for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S8 on Samsung’s website due to high demand over the past 48 hours. We are working quickly to Meet customer excitement and needs. Stay tuned for more updates.”

The out-of-stock Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is available for pre-order from Best Buy, but the Galaxy Tab S8 isn't available at that retailer.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series comes in three sizes, ranging from 11 inches to 14.6 inches. All models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 chip, with the Tab S8 and Tab S8+ up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and the Tab S8 Ultra up to 16GB and 512GB of storage.

All three models get improved S Pen performance, as well as updated displays. The Tab S8 Ultra has Samsung's largest Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen and dual 12-megapixel front-facing cameras.
